current mood: bitchy

Maureen stood outside the loft, furiously banging on the door. Where the fuck are they? "Marky, Roger? Are you home?" she yelled, not caring that it was late at night. "Open up!"
She was so angry. This last fight with Joanne had been the worst. She threw her suitcase on the ground and leaned against the wall with a pout. She began to chew on a hangnail when she realized she was still wearing the ring. Fuck, I'd better get this off before Marky sees it. She took it off and shoved it in a pocket in the suitcase. Now that's better. She said.
"MARK! ROGER!" she yelled again. "Open the goddamn door!"

OOC: I saw Rent today!!!

EDIT: Okay, so it turns out that I got some the actors wrong. Ooops. I've gone back and edited the names and some of the comments. Especially those about Arianda.

Okay, so I just got back from seeing Rent. Let me tell you, it was amazing! So, I walk into the theatre (which is gorgeous, by the way) and I see the set. Of course, I have a total fangirl moment and start to do a little jumping/squealing dance. I find my seat (which was ridiculously close to the stage. Not first row or anything but I could see everything). The lights go off and the show starts. The rest is honestly just a happy blur. Here's my breakdown of each of the actors and songs.

FYI: I'm not 100% sure about the actors that I saw because the programs that we got didn't have those handy little pictures next to them. I'm pretty sure that these are the actors that I saw but I may be wrong.

So yeah, over all, my first Rent experience was awesome. I don’t think that it was necessarily the singing that made it awesome but the energy of the live show. The show felt kind of disorganized but I'm guessing that that's because the show was only here for five days and the actors didn't really get a chance to acquaint themselves with the stage/acoustics and all that. I didn't get to take any pictures with any of the actors since the two friends that I went with both had to run home and I didn't feel like standing by the stage door by myself. Oh well...Thank you for reading my review! I know it was long but I just had to let my feelings out. My review has been x-posted to all the Rent communities that I belong too.

Hi, everyone. This is the 'mun for e_xistential. He's going away for a little while, since my laptop, which I've had less than six months, is now simply a very geeky paperweight. [Insert rant about refurbished computers from eBay here.]

My mom's shipping me my old desktop PC, which means I should be back online in another week or so, but in the meantime, I don't have net access from home anymore, and my time on the library computers is mostly being used rewriting the papers I lost when the laptop decided that it suddenly didn't have the files it needed to start Windows anymore.

So, yeah. E will be back. Eventually.

A slow night at the Life...
by E (e_xistential)
at April 24th, 2006 (12:19 am)

E stared at the clock, sighing. He'd been told when he'd gotten the job that the Life Café had its slow nights, but this was the first one he'd experienced.

Boring. This was all very boring. He fidgeted in place, resisting the urge to ask the few diners if they were sure they didn't need anything else. They were starting to look annoyed with him. He could be designing something. He wanted to be—there was a girl who'd come in earlier wearing this really great skirt that didn't go with her outfit at all, and he wanted to work on an outfit where it would look good... But he wasn't being paid to sit around and sketch, as he'd been told more than once already. What he was being paid for, apparently, was to stand there and do nothing, while going slowly insane.

Maybe someone else would come in. He could only hope.

((OOC: I figured I'd throw E in here, for whenever the rest of the merry crew feels like going out to get a bite to eat. Yes, he's an OC. The basic description I submitted for him in his userinfo, if you're curious.))

Joanne got off the bench and wobbled to the street. She raised her hand in the air and watched as a taxi stopped in front of her. She jumped in and he drove her to the apartment.  Thank God this cab doesnt smell. She said to herself.  They approached Joannes beautiful aparment building and she payed the man.  "Thank You" She said as she left the taxi cab.

She got in the house and went into the bedroom, obviously the bed wasnt made.  "Once, just once, would I like to come home with a made bed." She said to herself. She made the bed and then got dressed into more comfortable close.  She went into the kitchen and through her 70 dollar shoes in the trash.  There goes 710 dollars down the drain. She pulled out a steak and through it on the grill the was out on their balcony.  She grabbed the seasoning from the cabinet and drizzled it all over the steak.. As the steak was being cooked she went and got come rice and for a vegetable, green beans.  She poured the rice in a pan and began to cook it.  She grabbed the can opener and opened up the green beans.

Joanne picked up the phone that was on the kitchen wall and called Maureen.  She got the answering machine. I should have know that she wouldnt answer. She just hung up on me.  She heard the beep. "Hey Maureen, its Joanne.  I just wanted to let you know that Im home cooking dinner, so just come home when ever your hungry. Bye." she put the phone onto the reciever and went out and flipped the steak.
